I’ve used many “emergency blankets” over the years for a variety of uses. None of them hold up much more than a few real world uses. This is blanket is different. After it arrived I took it out for an overnight bivouac when the temperature was just above freezing. I used it as my ground tarp silver side up. It’s thicker material so it’s doesn’t wrap around and cling to objects but that’s okay. It’s a new ‘tool’ that can make a waterproof lean-to/tent that also reflects back body heat the heat from the campfire. It’s large enough to fold in half to lay on one side and pull the other side over over. I’m 5’10” and there’s room to spare. I will discover more uses as I go. It won’t fit into the ultralight category but still carried because it can be used as a multipurpose item.

It’s a emergency tarp. I said all I need to say in the headline. I don’t need 1000 words to make my point but what the hell. If you are hiking where space and weight is an issue it’s probable not for you but if you have rooms its a very good product.

Great for emergency. This appears 2 ply of a very thin plastic material and a bit thicker mylar. It’s all single stiched which explains all the pics of the corners busting. I glued the corners for reenforcing the stiching and am concidering doing all edges. I wouldn’t recommend tieing this down tight repeatedly. I think a double or triple stich line would make this product last a lot longer.

I’ve been using this to cover my water filters and water softener this winter. Works well to keep them from freezing.

We use this to put over our feral cat houses..
It helps keep the insulated thermal cat houses warm. I tried one, loved it, ordered another one.

Made an off the ground feral cat shelter for the winter with this as a main heat keeping component. So far they use it and it helps those wondering through have protection on cold nights.

We came up on an accident last night with two cars off the road and in a tidal slew, we got the people out and we provided them with blankets, and I carry these emergency blankets in my Jeeps and backpack when go out so I had it handy. They are unlike many emergency blankets, and I use them for SO much. I highly recommend getting them, especially for the value they are sold at. Not sponsored, just worth a great review.
