Defend Your Body

AN ESSENTIAL IN ANY PREPAREDNESS PLAN FOR NUCLEAR EVENTS.

Potassium Iodide (KI) is a thyroid blocker. During a radiation emergency, radioactive iodine may be released into the environment and enter the body through breathing or eating. Radioactive Iodine (I-131) can destroy the thyroids of humans and animals. Even small amounts of I-131 can cause cancer of the thyroid. By taking KI, the thyroid becomes saturated with “good iodine.”

How KI Protects the Thyroid

KI and radioactive iodine are both types of iodine. According to the CDC, they are both absorbed by the thyroid. For KI to work, a person must take it before or shortly after exposure to radioactive iodine. When a person takes the right amount of KI at the right time, it can help block the thyroid from absorbing radioactive iodine. This happens because the thyroid has already absorbed the KI, and there is no room to absorb the radioactive iodine.

Mary Ruth’s Liquid Iodine Supplement is the perfect way to protect your thyroid. Since Iodine is found mainly in animal protein foods, it’s hard as a vegan to get enough in my diet. I’m not a fan of seaweed and I don’t use salt so this supplement is perfect. The drops taste like sugar water and come with a nice eye-dropper to get just the right amount of drops, 1-2 daily. The bottle lasts a long time although not quite as long as is advertised. Overall, I’m very happy with these drops.

Added for thyroid health. Talk to your providers. But it’s sweet taste makes it easy to take. No complaints.

  3. Aadarsh (verified owner)

It’s good and shipping pretty quickly

I came back 30 days from my first purchase and the price increased from $21 to $33 that’s a huge jump in price $12. I did notice an increase in my energy. I don’t take any stars away from this product as it does work but I don’t like companies who price gouge. That’s it, that’s the review.

  5. Max (verified owner)

Great neutral taste as it is unflavored. Two drops on the tongue daily. I like it. Quality is good. I believe Mary Ruth’s products are safe, effective and reasonably priced.

Found this in the cabinet and forgot why I bought it. I have been ‘dragging ass’ for months if not a year and coffee was very little help. Not even knowing what it was for, just knowing the body needs it, I took two drops. Did this for 3 days and found I suddenly had energy and didn’t need coffee. Looked it up and found it’s good for the thyroid. My Dad and Uncle both have hyperthyroidism, apparently I do too. Or I did : ) Sticking with this stuff.
